AlpsLife

AlpsLife addresses the fragmentation of biodiversity conservation efforts across the Alps by establishing an interoperable framework for biodiversity monitoring. Using a pan-Alpine approach, the project integrates diverse ecological datasets, harmonises indicators, and establishes an early-warning system across Alpine national parks. Beyond technical tools, the project supports policy work by aligning the project outcomes with regional, national, and EU biodiversity strategies, fostering evidence-based decision-making. Its main goal is to enable coherent, cross-border biodiversity strategies, benefiting protected area managers, conservation authorities, policymakers, and researchers.
