Outdoor tourism with a view to the future between climate change sustainability demands and crisis management

How can outdoor sports become the engine of sustainable and resource-efficient tourism in the Alpine region? What contribution can destinations, population and companies make? Will Covid-19 influence their future development?

The experts invited to the virtual conference "Outdoor tourism with a view to the future" will answer these questions by bringing good examples and innovative approaches and by focusing their interventions on the four following topics: 1) outdoor sports activities in the context of the climate, environmental and Covid-19 crisis; 2) cooperation: working together for the future; 3) mine, yours, our mountains and valleys: capacity limits and regulation of tourism flows as a crisis management tool; 4) call for sustainable development of destinations in the Alpine region.

The conference, scheduled on 16 and 17 November on Zoom, is organized by Alliance in the Alps and CIPRA International on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety.

Attendance is possible upon registrationby 10 November 2020: https://form.typeform.com/to/athlwYnt .
