Addressing climate change together

Climate change action needs many players to join forces. This is why every year the community of climate researchers in Austria gathers for the Klimatag – the Austrian climate day.

The scientific conference is preceded by a networking day, addressing a broader audience including public and private stakeholders. The 19th edition, organised by the Climate Change Centre Austria (CCCA) in the frame of the Austrian Presidency of the Alpine Convention in Salzburg on 23 -25 April 2018, had a special focus on the situation, projections and current activities in the Alps.

Secretary General Markus Reiterer and the Chair of the Alpine Climate Board Helmut Hojesky made several interventions to highlight the need and the benefits of alpine-wide cooperation and raise awareness on the instruments and activities within the Alpine Convention.
