Young people are the future and are, like everyone, not spared by the COVID-19 pandemic. The importance of health and education cannot be highlighted enough. Consequently schools, universities and kindergartens play a very specific role in the current crisis. In the Alpine countries, all schools face very challenging situations, and most of them had to switch to distance learning. International exchange has also changed significantly due to the need for physical distancing.
However, there is some hopeful news: We are proud of our YPAC teachers and students, who work hard to find new ways of safely organising the Trogen YPAC 2021 in spite of the very difficult situation!
In connection to the XVI Alpine Conference and the EUSALP events, the upcoming exchange with young people from the Alps and beyond will happen during the “AlpWeek Intermezzo - Youth & Climate” 09–11 December 2020. It will take place virtually and is open for registration until 1 December.
