The Permanent Secretariat of the Alpine Convention has just renewed its cooperation agreement (Memorandum of Understanding) with the Austrian Infopoint, the Dobratsch nature park in Villach.
In January 2023, the Memorandum of Understanding was renewed for another three years. During this time, the Infopoint will continue its activities to raise awareness of the Alpine Convention and promote its implementation in Austria.
The Dobratsch nature park became the seventh Alpine Convention Infopoint and the first on Austrian territory when the agreement was first signed on the 3rd of April 2019.
“The Infopoints are a crucial part of the Alpine Convention network as they represent a link with the territories where the implementation of the Convention happens on the ground. I am very happy to have the Naturpark Dobratsch on board with us as the first Infopoint in Austria, and even more so that they have decided to continue in this role in the coming years! They actively contribute to fulfilling our common mission – leading the way for sustainable life in the Alps,” said Alenka Smerkolj, Secretary General of the Alpine Convention.
