The core teams of the Austrian Presidency and the Permanent Secretariat met on 18 and 19 January at a staff retreat in Gmunden where the work for the next two years of the Austrian Presidency was outlined and priorities were set. Amongst the main topics of discussion were the upcoming meetings of the Permanent Committee, the Compliance Committee and the meeting of the Chairs of the Working Groups and Platforms as well as the Women in the Alps conference taking place in mid-April. As an ongoing activity also the topic of EUSALP was discussed. The two day event was also an opportunity for informal exchanges between members of both teams that will be working closely together in the upcoming weeks and months.
