On 1-2 October 2019, the Biodiversity Board of the Alpine Convention has held its first official meeting in Gorizia (Italy). The representatives from several Alpine countries have discussed methods and work steps for achieving the two ambitious objectives entrusted to the Board by the Alpine Ministers during the XV. Alpine Conference: to undertake a stock-taking analysis of relevant biodiversity and landscape strategies, guidelines and policy recommendations for Alpine countries as well as to develop a system of priorities and targets for joint action in the field of Alpine Biodiversity.
