Photo Contest 2021
The 2021 edition of the Alpine Convention Photo Contest was dedicated to Alpine water bodies and their incredible biodiversity. This 12th edition was once again a success and we thank everyone who submitted a photo and helped highlight another wonderful side of water in the Alps!
"Water is an extremely precious and vital resource in the Alps, making the beautiful landscapes, diverse species and all aspects of our lives here possible!” said Alenka Smerkolj, Secretary General of the Alpine Convention. “The decision to dedicate the 2021 Photo Contest to Alpine water bodies and their incredible biodiversity was definitely a good decision – we are once again delighted by the incredible quality of the submissions we received and thank everyone who took part in the contest. Every photo shows a unique aspect of water, this precious resource which is such an integral part of life in the Alps.
