StoneRich
The intensification of agriculture led and still leads to the disappearance of cairns that once were an important part of the Alpine landscape. The aim of the project SteinReich is to inform, raise awareness and bring back the cairns, as they play a crucial role for the survival of heat-loving animals and plants. By doing so they are an easy way to promote biodiversity in urban areas. In 7 pilot regions people create new cairns at selected sites.
