Reaffirming our partnership with the Soča Valley Infopoint

The Soča Valley Development Centre (Posoški razvojni center – PRC) is one of two Alpine Convention Infopoints in Slovenia, a role it took on in 2017. Following the successful cooperation during the past six years, the Permanent Secretariat of the Alpine Convention and the Infopoint recently reaffirmed their partnership for another three years.

The PRC is strongly connected to the Soča Valley region, and implementing the Alpine Convention on the ground is at the core of its mission. Through diverse projects and activities, also in cooperation with the Permanent Secretariat, the centre raises awareness about the Convention and its ideas among the inhabitants of the region, as well as in the cross-border area.

I am really happy to extend this excellent cooperation for another three years. A big thanks goes to the team of the PRC for their everyday work, which represents an invaluable contribution to the implementation of the Alpine Convention and our common goals,” said Secretary General Alenka Smerkolj on the occasion of signing the memorandum with Simon Škvor, director of the Soča Valley Development Centre.
