In 2017, the Slovenian Alpine Museum became the first Alpine Convention Infopoint in Slovenia. It is located in Mojstrana, along the road leading to the Vrata Valley, beneath the northern face of Triglav. 

Its mission, which includes protecting the mountain environment and preserving Slovenia's mountaineering heritage, follows the protocols of the Alpine Convention. The Infopoint organises numerous events and promotional campaigns in close cooperation with the Alpine Convention to raise awareness. The most important events take place as part of the annual Reading Mountains Festival. The Infopoint is also a regular contributor of a dedicated Infopoint prize in the Young Academics Award. 

The strong cooperation is also reflected in the various Alpine Convention meetings and symposiums that are hosted by the museum.
