MoVe the Alps Conference
The "MoVe the Alps" conference on cycling tourism brought together experts to discuss how this type of tourism can be promoted in a climate-friendly way in the Alpine region.
Representatives from administrations, tourist destinations, railway companies and other associations presented their strategies, concepts and projects in the area of cycling tourism.
The first part of the event focused on national cycling strategies and their impacts on cycling tourism in the Alpine region. Following this, participants discussed topics such as the integration of bicycles in the planning of infrastructure projects.
In the afternoon, a series of workshops offered attendees the opportunity to learn more about specific aspects and projects related to cycling tourism.

The "MoVe the Alps" conference was organised by the Swiss Federal Office for Spatial Development ARE with the support of the Permanent Secretariat of the Alpine Convention and the Swiss Federal Roads Office (FEDRO) in the framework of the Swiss Presidency of the Alpine Convention.
