The 2026 edition of the Alpine Convention’s photo contest is now open! The theme of this year is “human traces”, the opportunity to show our imprint in the alps.
Humans have been wandering the Alps for thousands of years, from Ötzi’s fateful journey through the mountains 5.000 years ago, Hannibal’s mythical crossing, to today’s leisure trips. We have been leaving marks all across.
With the theme “Human Traces”, we invite you to explore how humans have shaped the Alps. Send us your contributions by 1 September 2026. A jury will select the thirteen best photos to be included in the 2027 edition of the Alpine Convention calendar. Their authors will receive Alpine Convention gifts as well as, for the three best unique photographs, the following prizes:
- 1st prize: €500
- 2nd prize: €350
- 3rd prize: €200
