On 11th and 12th March was held in Evian (France) the Xth Alpine Conference. The Ministers of the Alpine countries met in order to take important decisions. The main agenda item was the adoption of an Action Plan on prevention and adaptation to climate change in the Alps. The Ministers adopted also the Second Report on the State of the Alps (theme: water) and decided the topic of the next report. They discussed also the activities of the Working Groups and Platforms on transport, UNESCO World Heritage, natural hazards and ecological network. During the Ministerial Conference, in range of the contest called by the French Presidency, the best initiatives in the field of sustainable tourism have been awarded by the Alpine Convention.
