The Report on the State of the Alps offers periodical information on ecological, economical, and social development in the Alpine space. It provides a database on the future of the Alps for people in the world of politics, management, media or science. Furthermore, this standard work gives important yard sticks in terms of formulating adapted strategies.
Representants of Alpine states, numerous networks and institutions of the Permanent Secretariat of the Alpine Convention, as well as scientists and experts have been working together for the elaboration of this report. Data were assessed, verified and compared with the information provided by the Contracting Parties, and trends were analysed in order to identify at an early stage the challenges of the future.
The first Report on the State of the Alps focused on Transport and Mobility. It is available in all official languages of the Alpine Convention and also in English.
The 2nd Report on the State of the Alps, focusing on water, is available in all official languages of the Alpine Convention and also in English.
